July 14, 2011: Imagine One’s support of the SAIC/SPAWAR Atlantic Provision Engineering and Support Documentation (PESD) project is up and running. The PESD project is tasked with the mission of reverse engineering drawing development and technical documentation development of multiple variations of the MRAP vehicles for SAIC, SPAWAR Atlantic, and the US military. Imagine One’s reverse engineering drawing development efforts include the FPI Cougar CAT I, FPI Cougar CAT I A2, Buffalo, and the MAXXPRO CAT I Plus vehicles. The reverse engineering technical documentation development efforts include the MAXXPRO CAT I Plus vehicles. The reverse engineering S1000D IETM development efforts include multiple MRAP vehicles. The PESD project is managed from Imagine One’s Charleston, SC office. The Charleston office has successfully stood up a team of 27 Drafters, Drafting QA, 4 Engineers, 3 Subject Matter Experts (SME’s), 3 Logisticians, 3 Analyst, 4 Technical (Tech) Writers, and 4 S1000D SME’s to support the PESD effort. Over the next several months the PESD drawing development team will utilize the Solid Works and AutoCAD programs to develop reverse engineering 2D and 3D drawings for 28 design variations of the four MRAP vehicles. The PESD technical documentation development team will develop the technical (tech) manuals for the vehicle maintainers. The PESD S1000D development team will assist with development of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) for the vehicle maintainers. The tech manuals and IETM’s are utilized for troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance on the MRAP vehicles.
