CEO Nancie Lumpkins Retires | Kevin Veach Becomes CEO

After 26 remarkable years, our CEO & founder, Nancie Lumpkins, has chosen to step down on 30 September 2024 and enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

Nancie has been a driving force behind Imagine One, leading us through key milestones and inspiring us with her vision, dedication, and leadership. Under her guidance, Imagine One has transformed from an 8(a), Woman-Owned, HUBZone, small business into a thriving large business. We are deeply grateful for the lasting impact Nancie has made on our company.

We are thrilled to welcome Kevin Veach as our new CEO! With his impressive background supporting multiple defense contractors and fresh perspective, we are excited about the new chapter ahead for Imagine One.

Please join us in expressing our gratitude to Nancie and welcoming Kevin to the Imagine One family!

Kevin is a seasoned business leader with an excellent track record across multiple large and mid-tier companies in the government contracting sector.  He has delivered significant portfolio and organizational success by leading focused, growth-driven and sustainable business units.  Prior to joining Imagine One, Kevin served in various executive leadership roles at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), CSRA and most recently at Oasis Systems.

After graduating from Gannon University in 1988 with a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering, Kevin began his career at Presearch Incorporated as a research analyst performing antenna design and electromagnetic analyses on U.S. Navy ships for SPAWAR.  In 1996, he joined Nichols Research Corporation (NRC) where he used his background to establish a new C4I organization supporting NAVSEA ship acquisition programs, and he established the Design Management and Surface Combat Department which included diversification into Warfare Missions Systems Engineering to support PEO SHIPS and PEO IWS.

After NRC was acquired by CSC, Kevin was made Director of CSC’s Naval Warfare portfolio where he assembled and led diverse teams of engineers and analysts performing studies on surface combatants, amphibious assault ships and carriers. He also led internal R&D teams investigating ship self-defense concepts and innovative ship topside design modeling techniques.  In 2012, Kevin was selected to participate in the Industry Fellows Program at the National Defense University’s Eisenhower School for National Security.  He joined a select group of only 90 non-government/military industry graduates across the life of the Industry Fellows Program earning his Master’s in National Resource Strategy.  Following a corporate wide transformation, Kevin was promoted to Account General Manager for CSC’s USMC and NSWC business sectors, a role that he continued after CSC diversified its public sector to form CSRA. In 2017, he joined Oasis Systems where he led the integration of two large aerospace and defense company acquisitions into the Oasis enterprise, and most recently he was President of Oasis Systems’ Federal Division.  Kevin has been the recipient of various awards including the CSC Global Technical Excellence Award for a patented directed energy anti-ship missile defense system, and the ESGR Patriot Award.  He currently resides in Fairfax Station, VA with his wife Dallison and is the proud parent of three children, Quinton, Kendall and Kiera.
